A private NGO-run clinic in Mirpur-1, the Radha MCH-FP Centre, was allegedly vandalised, looted, and demolished during a midnight raid on 25 September. The clinic’s Executive Director, Dr. Nasrin Akhter, filed a case at Shah Ali Police Station against one named individual, Md. Hanif Mia, and 200-250 unidentified persons.

The clinic authorities allege that the attackers held security personnel hostage before using heavy machinery to demolish one permanent building and three semi-permanent structures.

The clinic, which has provided primary healthcare and EPI vaccinations since 1976, estimates losses at approximately Tk1.5 crore, including medical equipment, cash, and an ultrasonography machine. The clinic operator stated that no prior eviction notice was received from any government agency. Conversely, the Sammona Dokandar Samabaya Samity Limited claims ownership of the land, asserting it was allotted to them by the National Housing Authority in 2006 and registered in 2021. The cooperative alleges that previous political influence prevented them from taking possession of the land until now.
