Police have arrested 25 individuals in connection with the attack, vandalism, and looting at the Radda MCH-FP Centre in Mirpur-1, Dhaka, which occurred on the night of 25 September. While investigators are utilizing CCTV footage and suspect statements to identify those responsible, the masterminds behind the planning and coordination of the attack have not yet been identified. During the incident, over 200 masked individuals reportedly stormed the facility, held security guards hostage, and looted medical equipment, vaccines, and cash before using an excavator to demolish buildings. Former reserved-seat MP Ferdousi Ahmed Mishti is among the political figures whose names have surfaced in relation to the incident, and she has since stepped down. Mirpur Division Deputy Commissioner of Police Hasan Mohammad Naser Rikabdar stated that action will be taken against her if specific evidence is found. Police have also arrested an excavator operator named Shahidul, who appears in CCTV footage at the scene. Although the damaged buildings were renovated and handed back to Radda authorities on 10 October, the facility continues to struggle with operations due to missing medical equipment and furniture. Executive Director Nasrin Akhter has urged the government to assist in recovering the stolen items.
