A memorial ceremony in honour of those killed during the July mass uprising-2024 will be held on Saturday (4 July) at the China Friendship Conference Center in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka.

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is scheduled to attend the event as the chief guest. The programme will begin at 10:00am.

The information was announced on Friday (3 July) by the media cell of the BNP.

The memorial has been jointly organised by the July ‘24 Martyrs’ Families Society and Amra July Joddha to mark the second anniversary of the July 2024 mass uprising.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is also expected to attend, as chief guest, a student rally at the Central Shaheed Minar on 3 August, the final day of a nine-day programme commemorating the second anniversary of the July mass uprising.

The programme was announced on Thursday by the BNP’s student wing, the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal.

The nine-day observance will begin on 15 July with a discussion meeting at the Teacher-Student Centre (TSC) auditorium of the University of Dhaka and conclude on 3 August.
