State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Anindya Islam Amit announced that gas pressure is expected to normalize by the afternoon of 25 September, following the resumption of liquefied natural gas (LNG) unloading at 7:18am. The unloading process had been temporarily disrupted on 24 September due to adverse weather conditions, affecting the two floating storage and regasification units (FSRUs) in the Bay of Bengal. Addressing a meeting at the Jashore Circuit House, the state minister also stated that the government intends to readjust fuel prices if global energy prices remain stable or decline, aiming to provide relief to the public.
